Which Bezel should I buy?

Handcrafted: These are cast in bronze or sterling from original pieces made by a silversmith. They look the most unique and original and can be used in gallery work. They are thinner and lighter and look like they are handmade. They also can be adapted by cutting and filing them so you can remove a loop if you want or bend down tabs to hold in a found object.

Mixed metals: This type of bezel has a heavier wall than the handcrafted and is plated so you have to be careful about filing. Mixed metals are the modern lead free pewter and a good alternative for a less expensive piece.

Brass: These bezels are the least expensive and are punched out of brass sheet metal. They can come as raw brass that you can alter and patina or they can be plated. We like them for tiny projects and practice in class.
